TARGATT Master Cell Lines

TARGATT technology allows site-specific integration of any gene of interest (GOI; up to 20kb) at a pre-selected safe harbor locus using a unique integrase. Applied StemCell has produced various TARGATT cell lines, including the TARGATT CHO and HEK293 Master Cell Lines. These high-quality cells are part of the TARGATT knock-in kits, which can be used to insert any GOI in your lab. Our master cell lines have shown consistent medium to high protein expression levels for customer projects. Additionally, our experts have utilized engineered TARGATT cells to address common bioproduction issues.

TARGATT Bioproduction

Traditional CHO antibody and animal bioproduction methods are inefficient as they require random gene insertion and forced amplification of transgenes. Applied StemCell has addressed these problems by utilizing our cell line and animal model engineering expertise with our proprietary TARGATT technology to develop two bioproduction methods: TARGATT CHO Master Cell Line and Transgenic TARGATT Rabbits. Both methods offer low cost, efficiency, consistent protein expression, and high protein yield that is easily scalable for large-scale bioproduction.

TARGATT Library Kits

Our experts have completed several custom TARGATT HEK293- and CHO-based library construction projects, which have enabled the optimization of our off-the-shelf TARGATT HEK293 and CHO library screening kits (Drug selection and FACS kits available).

Our engineered cells allow:

  • Development of a mammalian display system with a higher efficiency
  • Provide a mammalian display system that can reach E. coli and
  • yeast library sizes

TARGATT iPSC

The TARGATT system was integrated into iPSCs for site-specific knock-in. The master line contains an “attP” landing pad in the H11 safe harbor locus. The knock-in cell line is ideal for gene overexpression, reporter/tag insertion, conditional expression cell line models, and isogenic cell line generation projects.
