AAALAC and worldwide shipping

Applied StemCell, a long-standing leader in custom mouse model engineering, also offers 2,000+ “off-shelf” proprietary, genetically engineered mouse models (GEMM) that are research-ready and can be directly used in gene function, drug screening, and human disease research.

  • Humanized immune checkpoint models with single, double or triple-target modifications in PD1, PD-L1, CTLA4, and other genes
  • Cytokine receptor-related models with fluorescent tags for live-imaging studies.
  • Immunodeficient models for immune system and cancer studies.
  • Human disease models with knockout, knock-in, conditional knockout mutations.
  • Cre recombinase, reporter genes, Cas9-expressing models, and more.
  • >30 fluorescent-labeled tumor cell lines for use in in vitro experiments and tumor studies.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • At this time, purchase of off-shelf mouse models are by inquiry. Please inquire for details.

  • Licensing is required for bio-pharma companies for breeding and use of off-shelf genetically modified mice. Please inquire for details.

  • The licensing will include shipment of 3-5 pairs of mice. Please inquire for details.

  • We normally ship mice at 8-12 weeks of age.

  • We ship using an international SPF overnight delivery service such as World Courier.

  • The mice are shipped from our facility in Shanghai that are operated under strict AAALAC, SPF and IACUC guidelines.

  • We always account for possible loss of mice during shipment and include extra mice in your order.

  • Yes, we ship internationally to most countries. Please inquire for specific countries.

  • Please inquire for details.

  • Yes. Please inquire for specific mouse you are interested in.

  • It costs $3000 per package (50 female mice per package) to ship mice internationally to most countries.

  • Yes. You can evaluate the mouse model before licensing. Please inquire for details.

  • Yes. You can purchase mice without licensing. The price will include female mice only and does not include shipping cost. Please inquire for details.

  • Mouse models under sperm cryopreservation have sperms frozen from F0 mice of the model. Recovery of the mice and confirmation for germline transmission is an estimated 2-3 months in addition to regular processing time.

  • This term indicates the cryopreservation of embryos from F1 germline transmitted mice. The estimated shipping time for live mice re-derived from the embryos is 2-3 months in addition to regular processing time.

  • Yes. We can ship mice to the end-user’s CRO company.

  • It takes 4 weeks for processing paperwork and shipping the mice. Please account for the lead time when planning your studies.

  • Yes. We can ship the embryos of the mouse models to you in liquid nitrogen (LN2) tanks. The shipment for embryos is $4000. The shipping company will also be responsible for picking up the empty LN2 tanks.

  • The mouse models are engineered, bred and housed in facilities that adhere strictly to the guidelines of the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) International, Specific Pathogen Free (SPF), and the Institutional animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) regulations which supervises and approves of all animal care and use plans and activities.

  • Yes. We can test for extra pathogens as a custom fee-for-service. Please inquire for details.
